Ethiopian sun-dried Arabica
Ethiopian coffee is one of the best coffees in the world. In industrial coffees, it is usually only added in small proportions to produce a better taste. In the sun-drying process, the coffee cherries are dried in the sun for around 2 weeks after harvesting. We find that sun-dried coffees taste spicier and more aromatic. In addition, compared to washed coffees, a lot of precious water is saved, as the pulp is rinsed off the coffee core with a lot of water during washing.
Added value locally
Our Solino Espresso Intenso is 100% produced in Ethiopia. Other coffee brands almost exclusively import raw beans. Most of the money is earned from further processing (roasting, printing and packaging). But unfortunately not in the country of origin. We are doing things differently to create prospects and skilled jobs for people in Ethiopia: Solino is the first coffee to be produced 100% in Ethiopia.
