The consequence of rising prices for green coffee

Dear Solino customers,
As you have probably already seen in the news, the prices for green coffee have risen significant recently. This applies especially to the high-quality Arabica bean that we use, the price of which is currently at a multi-year high. The costs of local wages in Ethiopia, packaging, transportation and energy have increased significantly as well.
In order to be able to still guarantee our high quality, we have to take these facts into account. We can partially compensate the increases in costs with efficiency gains. Therefore, we are currently only making adjustments in the area of shipping costs and minimum order value for free shipping.

Because transparency is a very important principle to us, you will find these adjustments listed here:
• For deliveries within Germany we are increasing our shipping fee from € 2.50 to € 4.90 and our minimum order value for free shipping from € 20 to € 39.
The good news: If you order 2x1kg Solino Coffee, you will receive your delivery within Germany (still) free of charge.
• For deliveries to the EU, Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom, we are increasing our shipping fee from € 15 to € 16.90 and our minimum order value for free delivery from € 150 to € 159.
We sincerely ask for your understanding.

PS: The increase in the price of green coffee and the increase in local wages in our roastery in Addis Ababa (in the local currency “Birr” by 30% until today – adjusted for inflation, that’s around 15%) directly benefit the people in Ethiopia. In this respect, there is also something very positive about the current development!

Unfortunately we had to switch off the comment function in the Solino coffee blog due to a lot of spam. Do you have any suggestions? Would you like to tell us something about this article? Then just use our contact form. We are looking forward to your message!
